Namecheap.com, one of the mainstream ICANN recognized registrar’s is giving away $17,000 worth of domains, domain transfers and hosting packages in their “Great NameCheap.com Twitter Trivia Contest”.

Participation

Sign up at Twitter and start following NameCheap.com. That’s it! Namecheap.com will be posting a trivia question every hour between 1st December and 25th December, 2008. The first three correct respondents would be credited $9.69 to their Namecheap.com account. You can create a free Namecheap.com account here. Remember, it is mandatory to have a Namecheap.com account in order to have the winning credited. No account = no prizes!

When the trivia question is up, you need to use the reply function in order to be eligible for the win. The @ symbol puts your answer to Namecheap.com attention.

Redeem the Prize

The first three to reply to the twit with the correct answer will receive $9.69 credit to their NameCheap.com account. Winners will be announced on twitter as well. To claim the credit, you should link your NameCheap.com account to your twitter account and it is simple.

• Login to your NameCheap.com Account (if you don’t have a NameCheap.com account, you can simply create one at https://www.namecheap.com/signup.aspx — no credit card necessary)
• After you login, go to ‘My Account’ > ‘Manage Profile’  and then choose ‘Twitter Integeration’ link on the left (https://www.namecheap.com/myaccount/modify-profile-twitter.asp)
• Enter your twitter username and click ‘Verify’
• A short code will be sent from NameCheap.com to your twitter account using a direct message (a message that no one else other than you could see). Note: Unless you follow them, they will not be able to send you that code.
• Enter the code on the confirmation page and you are all set with linking the accounts.
• Once linked, you will see a credit on your NameCheap.com account within few hours after your winning. Enjoy!
