zeedrive.comAs usual, there will be a rush to grab these domains as soon as they are available for registration. So if you are really interested in a domain in the above lists, I urge you to place a back order for it with the domain registrar of choice.
You can also use the who.is tool to check the status of the domains. Some domains may be renewed at the last minute by their current users, so keep an eye out for this too.
Do comment here if you manage to grab one of the domains from the lists above.

Hi Taris. Thanks for your reply. As for your questions, these domains would be available for registration from the 20th at reg prices from various registrars

I’ve never understood people that buy these high PR domains… First, the links to them do exist, so that’s good. But Google is smart. Google says: “What’s this? A Whois Change? Completely New Content? I suspect a flipper!!! Let’s shut this mother down!” (Or something like that.)
I have yet to find someone who has been able to successfully sustain the pagerank and traffic that a previous domain has had, especially if it relies heavily on search engines.
If you have a solution to maintaining the pagerank, please share.
Shirley’s last blog post..Don’t Get Hacked: 6 Ways to Secure Your WordPress Blog
December 19, 2008 am31 3:34 pm
Hi Shirley, thanks for your first comment. BTW, Google having access to who.is is a complete myth. What if a PR 6 domain is transferred to me, and I apply “who.is” guard on it. No one will have access to the private info of the domain. Thus, I can continue running those high PR domains under my name. Google (or any other entity for that matter) having bypass access to my “who.is” information defeats the whole purpose of the “who.is” guard.
I’ll give you examples of successful flips without loss in favor with Google:

Well, maybe I need to do a bit more research. Thanks for the follow-up.

Boy some of those PR6 (except that all digit domain name) and PR5 domain names sound very good. But I can’t afford to spend time to pick another and build on/flip.
Btw, mine was a dropped domain name but when I bought I did not know that and it was a PR0.
Ajith Edassery | DollarShower’s last blog post..BackType.com – The ‘twitter’ for comments
December 20, 2008 am31 10:45 pm
Hi Ajith, Most of the high PR domains in the above list were either renewed by current owners or put on backorder via the registrars. I was after a PR6 domain but sadly, it was not within reach
So, dollarshower.com was really a dropped domain. Getting a PR0 domain is, after all better than getting one with no PR. Thanks for the comment

Great list. I should be grabbing some of these soon they are available

OK so say I was able to buy one of these upon expiration. sanantonioschoolofart.org let’s say. What am I supposed to do once I have it? If they are letting it expire I’m sure they don’t really care about having it anymore so that would leave me the option of actually starting a San Antonio shcol of art? I guess I’m just asking what are you supposed to do with a high PR domain name with no business or website ect to go with it.
Thanks.
Gerald Weber’s last blog post..10 Examples of Creative Twitter Uses
December 22, 2008 am31 11:56 pm
Hello Gerald Weber. Thanks for your comment. As for your query, these lists are provided for the general public, and its up to the individuals to consider buying them. These high PR domains came about surely because of back link development, so we can not really say they were ditched without reason. Moreover, people do prefer buying domains with high PR, so if you can find a name which sounds sensible, you might put it up for auction and let interested parties see it. It, however, all boils down to individual’s choices
December 23, 2008 am31 1:38 am
The thing is, do you buy the domain just because it has a high PR or because it is the domain name that you were looking for. Say I wasinterested in promoting widgets, why would I buy ‘elnour.info’. I don’t think I would purchase any of those domains.
Sire’s last blog post..Finding The Right Blog To Comment On
December 23, 2008 am31 3:49 am
Thanks for the comment Sire. Yes, once again, it all depends on an individuals own preference to either buy a domain or not. Picking a non-related name just because it has a high PR is a big mistake… at least in my estimation.
December 23, 2008 am31 11:10 pm
Wow, not bad, my first comment and already we agree on something. I still haven’t achieved that with my wife even after 20 years of marriage

Hello Car Blog
Welcome to Domain Marvelous and thanks for your comment. I will be coming up with more high PR dropped domains since this post was so successful.
January 23, 2009 am31 7:31 pm
Hey! I bought a domain recently to test this theory and sure eneough the PR dropped to zero at the next pr update, so im not sure if it was the change in content or the change in owners.
February 19, 2009 am31 10:00 am
Looking forward to more domains!

PageRank is bound to change from PR-X to lower or non-existant without quality backlinks. Most of the URLs have no backlinks. Very important to look for backlinks for dropped/expired domains. The domain may have PR but it will shift to 0 without backlinks.

Does anybody here have an experience in buying this kind of domains? Did it drop in the next Google PR update? I am just curious about this. Thanks.
