Use these coupon codes to save dollars on your next domain registration, transfer or renewal or purchase of web-hosting space. Coupon codes are great for keeping your budget in check. However, you need to keep a close eye on some vendors who publish coupon codes with strings attached. Personally, I stay away from signing up for offers which involve multiple years of domain registration or web hosting contract. Initial investment with coupon codes may be low, but it quickly adds up from the second year. I also prefer to keep my web hosting provider and my domain registrar separate. This avoids the headache associated with domain ownership and transfer if you decide to switch hosts.

Domain Name Ideas
In my very first post, way back in 2009, I wrote about the importance of picking the right domain name. Three years later, the strategy has remained the same. Your obvious choice for that perfect domain name may not be available for registration, but you can still apply the below tips in order to grab that unique, attractive domain name that will really give your blog or business that unique approach to branding. Do you agree with me when I say that 100% of your online projects begin with brainstorming a unique domain name? That makes domain name an essential part of the equation. Domain name ideas given below will help you kick-start that very crucial first step in making your online presence a reality.
Tip 1: Keep it Simple
Think for a moment – would you be patient enough to type this name in your web browser – thebestblogevertobeestablished.com? Definitely not! So why make your type-in visitors (or potential visitors) undergo those excruciating few seconds to type that ghastly looking name in the browser address bar? Keep it simple! A shorter, attractive name is better than a long “spammy looking” name that makes your website appear more of a “one-night-stand” than a long time serious project.
And We’re Back!
After almost a year’s lapse, Domain Marvelous is back. The inactivity can be largely attributed to my total devotion to my offline tasks, especially, my university studies. In fact, I reached a point whereby this blog was taken offline. In the process, I lost all my readership, the domain page-rank and traffic ranking on Alexa, Compete and Quantcast. One year ago to this date, I was getting almost a thousand unique page-views per month and ranked on the first page on Google for well searched keywords and key-phrases. It’s time for this blog to regain its former glory!
Domain Marvelous offers the greatest tips on domain names and domain name ideas on the internet. Keep checking this blog for further updates.

Why Namecheap.com?
DISCLAIMER: This is not a paid, promotional or affiliate-linked post. My intention to promote Namecheap.com is purely because of my excellent experience with them and I want to pass the benefit of their excellent service to my blog readers.
I joined Namecheap.com in 2008, almost by accident. They had started off their Christmas Twitter Trivia Contest that December and I decided to try my luck. I had planned to win a single domain name credit and transfer the domain to Name Cheap (they give you credits to either purchase, renew to transfer domains) for this blog so that I would not have to hunt around for that $10.00 to renew the domain for the following year. Needless to say, I ended up winning credits for 4 domains.
For the next couple of years, I had the opportunity to do business with them. My domain renewal was well covered for 4 years; so I had the flexibility to divert the fund towards other areas, such as hosting, design fees for my other projects, etc.
Namecheap proved to be an excellent domain registrar. No more I had to deal with the clutter at my former registrar (He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named! – You Know Who
). But that wasn’t the best part. Namecheap had freebies and deals that only an insane company could offer. Free Whois privacy, free SSL certificates, incredibly low cost hosting, the cheapest renewals… , the list goes on. (more…)
